The Digital Catapult is one of a number of Catapults set up by Innovate UK to enhance the competitiveness of UK ltd, particularly through fostering success in Small and Medium Enterprises. To that end, they have engaged over 2229 SME’s and larger businesses over the past year, focussing on issues in the digital space such as Personal Data & Trust and the Internet of Things.
Atlantic currently serve as sector leads in Health and Social care, a sector they have identified as having high importance to the UK and worldwide markets. This means convening a multi-disciplinary group to identify and address challenges and acting as lead and curator for the Health and Social Care sub-group of the Personal Data and Trust Network (pdtn.org).
What they say about themselves
The Digital Catapult helps UK businesses unlock new value from sharing proprietary data in faster, better and more trusted ways. It does this through a fourfold process, by sharing personal data in a way that’s secure and trusted; by sharing licensed data more simply; by sharing data generated across the Internet of Things; and by sharing closed data between organisations.
